The love of my life...
My love for travel has been a favorite in the list of 'much discussed' things among family and friends. Why? Because I never let go of an opportunity to travel--if I can help it!
Travel is one favorite I'd not want to exchange for anything in life! Too strong a statement eh! I say this, because travel is 'the love' of my life, and this is the best thing that could happen to me, I'd say--the sure-shot feel-good factor for me! It gives me such a sense of well being that few other things can. There are a lot of people who'd vouch for what I just said! My family, for one, would outrightly endorse the 'fact' how the magic of travel works on me!
My spirits soar at the advent of planning, and anticipation keeps me on a high, till the journey commences. The thrill and romance of it all takes over thence! Why not! The world is full of beautiful places, and they're all waiting for me to explore--the wait's mutual I'd say! Yes! you name it, and I wanna see it!
It all began, sometime during my childhood. Every vacation from school, my parents would take us on a holiday--Agra, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, Chamba, Tehri, Narendranagar--these are some of the places I loved visiting, and wanna visit again (I did visit some of them later on, though). As much to see how different, or how similar they are now, as to find my childhood memories hidden in nooks and crannies, where I left them, to come and find, later on in life!
And, there are places that have pulled me to them, always--places that I've always wanted to associate with. Kashmir, Rajasthan--Jaisalmer in particular. No, I can not say why these places in particular--it's beyond me and my comprehension! London was another place I badly wanted to visit, as a kid, but the passion got left behind, with my childhood--though, London is still somewhere on that 'list' I mentioned earlier!
Speaking of the two beloved places, Kashmir, and Jaisalmer, I proved to be fortunate enough to, finally, make it to Kashmir this past summer. Jaisalmer I'm sure isn't far as well!
I shall, now on, re-live my travel experiences, and make them yet more tangible, on this blog.
